Artist Klaus Voormann met the Beatles in 1957 in Hamburg, Germany. Voormann and his girlfriend, Astrid Kirchherr became friends with the group.

Voormann played bass guitar for Manfred Mann's band and on sessions for John Lennon, Harry Nilsson, and others.

In the 1980s, Voormann produced the German group Trio. Trio's "Da Da Da" became a world-wide hit.

In the 1990s, Voormann created the cover art for The Beatles Anthology CDs and videos.

Today, Voormann continues creating art and music.
