The Family

Recorded/Published: June 17, 1967
Recorded for the Pandemonium Shadow Show album, this is one of one a few Nilsson originals to be recorded then completely abandoned.

In the song, Harry tells the story of suggested abuse within a family using tape loops underneath the song. It is quite remarkable for it's time. One tape loop is of a husband and wife (the husband played by Harry) in a furious argument. The other loop is of a military fire fight. (Source: Curtis Armstrong)
